Secondary Cause of Death
Following our very successful, pantomime in January, Jack & the Beanstalk, we immediately set about preparing for our summer play. After considering a number of options, Nigel Handyside put himself forward as director for ‘Secondary Cause of Death’, a sequel to our previous year’s production. At times it was a complex plot involving a Murder Mystery party, wartime espionage and collection of characters with dual identities. This left our audiences thoroughly entertained with lots of differing opinions over who exactly were the guilty culprits. The final reveal as to who was the murderer surprised us all!
We always aim to stage the highest quality productions and this can only be met by committed members working front of house and behind the scenes leading up to and including play week. The set and costumes were declared effective and authentic by our NODA representative, in particular was the creation of a secret bookcase being put to good use. He was also highly complementary about the humour and characterisation by our cast, some of whom reprised their original roles and others who changed characters and a some newcomers to our stage. As always, we were thrilled to be praised for our Front of House team and how welcome our audiences are made to feel from the moment they walk through the door.
